Hermann Kramer, P.Eng | President and Chief Technology Officer
Hermann was born and raised in Calgary, AB, Canada. He graduated from the U of C with a major in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Computer Science. Hermann has 18 years of experience in the international wireline oilfield services business. He has performed both open hole and cased hole services. His work experiences included running prototype pulsed neutron services internationally. He has had numerous roles throughout his career, such as Sales Lead, Technical Manager, Prototype Logging Engineer, Training Engineer, Processing Engineer, Petrophysics and Interpretation Lead. Hermann is a Professional Engineer licensed by the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA).
Keith Banks, P.Eng | Mentor, Advisor, Head of Research and Development for the Quad Technology
Keith was one of the original founders of Roke. He has over 50 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Keith's illustrious career has included roles as a Wellsite Geologist, Schlumberger Specialty Logging Engineer, Head of Research and Development as well as the President of Roke Oil. Keith is a Professional Engineer licensed by the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA).
Jay Williams | VP North America, Onshore
Jay has over 13 years of experience in the oil and gas service industry with both small and large oilfield service companies. He graduated from the University of Alberta in 1996 with a Bachelor degree in Petroleum Engineering. While attending University, Jay worked as a Roughneck for a major Canadian rig company. Upon graduation from Engineering, his first employment was as an Open Hole Engineer in Medicine Hat and soon after became a Base Manager. Jay transferred to Calgary in 1998 to be a Technical Account Representative. His responsibilities have incorporated sales, marketing, data quality control, log interpretation, log analysis, problem solving, training of junior and senior field/sales staff, managing field supervisors, corporate strategy, growth planning, standard operating procedure review, revision and documentation. Jay believes that excellent technology should be coupled with great service. He enjoys working with clients in a mutual symbiotic relationship to advance understanding of reservoirs, make better completion decisions and increase their value.
Robin James | Design and Product Development Manager
Robin has extensive experience acquired in his 20 year career in designing oilfield equipment. His biggest strength is ensuring that, at the end of product development, the equipment will meet the rigors of the field. Robin second biggest strength is bring new products to market under budget. Robin is a great asset to the Roke team.
Rodney Kleim | Canadian Operations Manager
Rod has 8 years of oilfield experience specializing in casing/pipeline inspection instrumentation and software. Rod graduated from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology with a diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology in 2001.
Kyle Lewis | Chief Data Controller
Kyle studied Computer Science and Software Engineering at the University of Victoria, before graduating from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology's Computer Engineering program in 2004. He has 5 years of experience in the oil and gas service industry, including 3 years heading up a Data Processing and Analysis department for a major wireline service company. His personal responsibilities in the past have included quality assurance for Open Hole data, and the data processing of Cased Hole Neutron and Sonic technologies.
